Set Up a 3 Wire Alternator! Quick and Easy Way to Make it Work On Any Car!

In this episode I go over how I wire up a standard, GM, 3 wire alternator. I hooked it up in my hot rod and then I had a run-on issue, where the car would not shut off when the key was off. So I had to run a "dummy light" inline with the alternator exciter wire to make it work. Hopefully this serves as a simple explanation on how to wire an alternator.
