Shad Thames, which is located close to Tower Bridge, is one of London's most atmospheric streets.
In this video we'll be looking at its rich history, including the possible origins of Shad Thames' unusual name, its connection with Charles Dickens, its close neighbour- the dreaded 'Jacob's Island'- and its many appearances in film and television.
