I didn’t like Khabarovsk. There is a beautiful embankment, a nice historical center with Muravyov-Amursky Street crammed with architecture, and Lenin Square. But as soon as you move a little away from these places, sadness and devastation immediately begin.
The electric transport network is poorly developed. Trolleyubs is represented by only two routes, one of which appeared in the summer of 2023, and the tram - by three routes. This is not enough for such a big city. In addition, Khabarovsk has a difficult terrain, due to which hordes of buses burn even more fuel and emit hundreds of thousands of tons of harmful substances into the atmosphere.
The Khabarovsk buses themselves are not bad, but in large cities they should be a secondary mode of transport, and the main transport should be a tram or trolleybus.
And if the trolleybuses are at least being updated, it’s impossible to look at the trams without tears. All trams - both the RVZ-6 from the 1970s and the KTM-23 from 2012 look simply terrible. Some parts are held on not by bolts, but by rags...
But Khabarovsk is the only city in the world where Riga RVZ-6 trams still carry passengers, and are not just museum pieces!
Watch the video and you will understand everything yourself. Enjoy watching!
