As great as applications like Capture 1 are, very few photographers only use one editing app. It becoes necessary to be able to 'round-trip' your editing process; that's opening your image into a separate external application to the one that you start in, and still be able to come back into the application that you began in, with the newly editing image.
This video looks at round-tripping from Capture One into some of the apps that I use like Nik Efex and On1. There are others still, but the video gives an idea of the possibilities available to photographers using Capture 1.
