It may still be a few years away but we finally had a chance to get hands on with the prototype Rivian R3 and R3X! These 2 vehicles are the smallest examples of a Rivian we've seen so far and by most definitions should fall right into the subcompact SUV category though official measurements haven't been released. The best way to describe the R3 line is that it's pretty similar to the Volvo C40/XC40 but we'll hold out official comparisons until they are available to drive.
