Richard Raffan turns a threaded box for the 25th. 4-Ways project.

It’s decades since I’ve chased threads, so here you see novice thread-chasing and some of the things that can go wrong. I need three attempts chasing the internal thread and two on the external. Between the thread-chasings you witness a monumental catch as I try to keep clear of the camera. Then you see how I normally hold the tool as I deepen the inside of the lid without incident. There are problems with picked-out grain on the lid and a bit of messing about turning the profile all of which is not uncommon. Boxwood, 45x47mm.
