The music per se is filled with energy and dynamics, adopting the unrestrained structural form of rhapsody. Manipulating non-conventional harmony with pop-music rhythmic patterns injects a refreshing performance style to this ancient Chinese musical instrument. The dazzling technique and acoustics combined manifest a dramatic, gorgeous, passionate, and exciting work for yangqin.
