In this video, I document my typical workflow for managing coordinates between a project's civil engineers and the building design team. This includes a Civil CAD file (from AutoCAD or Autodesk Civil 3D) and a Revit site model, plus a Revit building model(s). When everything is set up correctly in Revit, using Shared Coordinates, the Revit model can be exported to CAD (2D or 3D) and xref'ed back into civil in the correct location based on county/state coordinate system and true north!
