Once again, after seeing how deeply Serotonin Noise (
https://youtu.be/smoS9ZaBPZs) was received by you guys - helping you with focus, relaxation, and an overall sense of well-being - I started to wonder: could I take it even further?
The original was built from carefully crafted layers: gentle ocean waves rolling in and out, an underwater heartbeat mimicking serotonin’s steadying rhythm, and a smoothed humming designed to soothe and stabilise neural activity. Using a handful of field recordings and my usual household objects (shout-out to the ever-reliable Tangle Teezer), I meticulously shaped each element - tweaking, filtering, and stretching sounds with my trusty elongation and pass filters.
So, for Serotonin Waves, I took those same core stems and completely restructured them. Instead of a steady, constant texture, the sounds now rise and fall in a rhythmic, wave-like motion - designed to feel more organic and immersive. I also introduced subtle delta waves, adding an even deeper layer of relaxation. The result is a soundscape that breathes and evolves, syncing with the body’s natural rhythms.
So, whether you lot are using it to relax, sleep or study to - I hope Serotonin Waves brings you balance and calm.
Sleep long and sleep well tonight my wonderful friends!
