Well, that's what I get for not looking closely at the video before posting! As a viewer noted, I have the capacitor backwards in the little diagram and (I think) in the actual circuit. The negative terminal should be facing (ready for it) NEGATIVE! Luckily, I was using a 50 volt cap with a 10 volt supply, otherwise, it would have been a demonstration of how a backwards electrolytic fails! The wheel was turning, but the hamster was dead ;) You may notice a new opening disclaimer at the beginning of the video. Hopefully, it will answer a few questions. In this quickly put-together video, I talk about the wealth of comments I received on the SAE Mark Nine Preamp video concerning your opinion on the use of equalizers to adjust the audio, as well as a few other subjects. The second part is some video I recorded demonstrating how a speaker coupling capacitor works on a single-rail amplifier running in class A. I have had several questions concerning the difference between an offset DC waveform and a true AC waveform. Even though I never had a chance to finish the video, I hope the demonstration is entertaining, if not useful. Hopefully, things will slow down so that I have more time for projects on the bench! Thanks again for all the great comments and e-mails!
