Pruning Apple Trees after their First Year of Growth

In this video, 12 young apple trees that were planted as bare root whips (a stem with no branches) last year are pruned. The trees need to be pruned when dormant - thus late winter tends to be when it gets done. Hopefully this will encourage strong new growth and development in the upcoming growing season!
