This is a complete process in 3 steps: -rigging -applying the mocap (also known as *Retargeting*) -clean-up: making sure the mocap looks as good as possible on your character We will even cover different scenarios, such as starting with an unrigged character on the one hand, or with a pre-existing deform rig on the other (e.g. characters from Mixamo, DAZ, Character Creator, Unreal Engine skeletons, etc.). The workflow for pre-existing deform rigs requires the Auto-Rig Pro Quick Rig extension. You can find all links below. These easy workflows are made possible by the Auto-Rig Pro addon for Blender. Auto-Rig Pro is an affordable powerhouse extension for Blender. It simplifies Rigging and Retargeting like no other Blender tool (or even a combination of tools, for that matter). The rigging and retargeting are covered fully by Auto-Rig Pro. The addon also offers tools to support you in the clean-up process. But in the video, I will also demonstrate how to use Blender's built-in NLA (Non-Linear Animation) Editor for even more control over your final mocap animation. Some basic Blender knowledge is recommended.
