Hello everyone, welcome to my channel. Today, I'm going to show you the real life in a rural area of Southwest China. The video was filmed in Wanshan Township, Wangcang County, Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province, by my friend Zhao Li. It mainly demonstrates the process of buckwheat, from harvesting to drying, threshing, and turning it into food. In southern China, the most common crops are rice, wheat, and corn, and buckwheat is not very common. However, the terrain here is rugged and mountainous, which is not suitable for growing rice or wheat. As a result, the locals usually choose to grow sorghum, buckwheat, and other crops. During harvest time, since there are no large automated machines, all the work has to be done by hand. In these traditional rural areas of Southwest China, the daily life of residents revolves around farming, harvesting, and feeding livestock, day in and day out, year after year, continuing for thousands of years. Due to economic development, most young people have gone to work in other cities, leaving behind mainly elderly people and children. Those who can afford to are gradually moving to urban areas, and the rural fields and old houses are slowly being abandoned. It's estimated that in about 30 years, these rural areas may become true "ghost towns" with no inhabitants left. #travel #daily #villagelife #rural #development #vlog #china #chongqingchina #chinavillage #life #village #poor #walkthrough #walking #travelling
