Preparing to split a Honeybee Colony in a Layens Hive #beekeeping #horizontalhive #honeybee

One of the colonies in the Green Hive died out, and the other is thriving. So I'm cleaning up the dead-out colony and setting up the other for a future in-hive split (to make 2 colonies from 1) in the Layens hive. The split method described in this video uses the 3 entrances of the Layens hive to distribute forager bees to each of the colonies resulting from the split. This is a method learned in Dr. Leo Sharaskin's seminar.
