Preparing Revit models for cost/quantity takeoff!
I've had many requests to show quantity takeoff workflows in more detail, particularly in Dynamo. Before we can do this, our data must be clean and structured. This video shows how you can do this by adding some additional data and cleaning what is there. In the next video we will extract quantities using Dynamo and produce a visual report. I hope you enjoy the session and learn something new! Feel free to comment any feedback/questions below, or follow my channel if you enjoyed this. 0:00 Intro 1:34 Fixing data issues 3:36 Common issues found 4:31 Adding parameters 8:34 Populating cost data 9:14 Scheduling our data 11:24 Export to Excel 12:58 Modify data in Excel 15:24 Import back to Excel 16:05 A cleaner example 17:32 Viewing the model 19:09 Outro Software used; Autodesk Revit 2020: https://www.autodesk.com/products/revit/overview Ideate BIMLink: https://ideatesoftware.com/ideatebimlink DaVinci Resolve: https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/au/products/davinciresolve/ OBS: https://obsproject.com/ Hardware used; Webcam: https://support.logitech.com/en_us/product/hd-webcam-c615 Laptop: https://www.msi.com/Workstation/WT75-8SM/ Microphone: https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/rode-nt1a-condenser-microphone Audio interface: https://focusrite.com/en/usb-audio-interface/scarlett/scarlett-2i2 #revit #dynamo #bim
