Practicing Tips
Here is a video on practicing. Over the past several years I have received many emails asking me about how I practice. This is something I always speak to my students about and it is very important to use your time wisely, especially if your practical time is limited. I talk about the best ways to use your time to get the best results. These include dividing up your practice time in focus areas such as warming up, reading, working on pieces or books, transcribing, technical study as well as lots of time spent playing with music. A very important part of this is recording yourself and listening back critically. I also talk about goals and how having them is a big part of improving your playing.
