On a tiny strip of land, Luzhou has the second highest population density in all of Taiwan. Like Sanchong, it’s a popular destination for Southerners moving North. So Luzhou and Sanchong are both known for temples and folk traditions. Only the Chenglu Bridge services Luzhou, so most traffic must pass through Sanchong. And because it’s always lacked certain modern conveniences, Luzhou has been dubbed the “sloppy seconds of Sanchong” by Netizens. Taiwan rapper Pihai Ryan’s satirical song about Taipei “Tianlongguo”.
