Farhang Foundation proudly presents a live performance of the hit single FROM EASTERN LANDS (از سرزمین های شرقی) by the one and only @pallettmusic with special guest Erwin Khachikian, recorded during PALLETT's DREAM AWAY WITH ME world tour in Los Angeles. On April 27, 2024, Farhang Foundation and the Alex Theatre Performing Arts Center joined forces to present PALLETT live as part of the 2nd annual Iranian Concert Series at The Alex. After a long eight year hiatus away from Los Angeles, PALLETT returned to the big stage and captivated a sold out crowd of adoring fans with a performance showcasing songs from their latest album NESF OL NAHAR MABDA (Prime Meridian) along with their greatest hits. "The melody of "From Eastern Lands" was first performed by Hesam Mohammadianpour on his new Indian wooden flute. We added a poem by Sa’di as the lyrics, and the song was completed. Since then, the piano for this song has been performed by various musicians, each of whom seems to tell their own story "From Eastern Lands."
