Painting Battletech Wrong? Random Color Schemes?

I'm new to Battletech and have terrible choice paralysis. I decided to choose two random color schemes, challenge myself to paint them, and record my results, painting my very first Battletech Mech. I have been painting miniatures for over 30 years but never before have I painted a mech. Using a random number generator and Color Cubes by Sarah Renae Clark I drew the two schemes.
