Title: New Modulation Waveforms for Delay and Time-scale Spread Wideband Channels
Speaker bio: Chandra R. Murthy is a Professor in the department of Electrical Communication Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India. His research interests are in the areas of sparse signal recovery, energy harvesting based communication, performance analysis and optimization of 5G and beyond communications. He has more than 85 journal papers and more than 110 conference papers to his credit. One of his papers was the recipient of the Best Paper Award in the Communications Track at NCC 2014, and papers coauthored with his students received Student Best Paper Awards at the IEEE ICASSP 2018, IEEE ISIT 2021, and IEEE SPAWC 2022.
He is an IEEE Fellow (Class of 2023), a senior area editor for the IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing and an associate editor for the IEEE Transactions on Information Theory. He was an elected member of the IEEE SPCOM Technical Committee for the years 2014-19. He is a past Chapter Chair of the IEEE Signal Processing Society, Bangalore Chapter. He served as an associate editor for the IEEE Signal Processing Letters during 2012-16, the IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing during 2018-20, and the IEEE Transactions on Communications during 2017-22.
