This video explains the multitenant architecture introduced with Oracle Database 12c. This architecture is employed in Oracle Database 18c Express Edition. The base installation of this product creates a pluggable database, however, it does not provide easy access to this container. We briefly explain the multitenant architecture using the containers defined in the 18c Express Edition base installation. It is not the intent of this video to provide a complete explanation of the multitenant architecture. We simply wish to provide a general introduction to the concepts that pertain to this architecture.
