Part of Smart Operations for Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM, this workbench provides technicians with easy access to service histories, knowledge articles, and recommendations for corrective actions. It is particularly useful in industries like industrial manufacturing, high-tech, food and beverage, wholesale and distribution, transportation, logistics, healthcare, and telecom. We’re making an important addition to the Maintenance Technician Workbench called the Maintenance Advisor. This AI agent helps technicians work more efficiently and effectively by giving them the information they need to complete their work orders. This demo starts with a technician reviewing her assigned work orders on the Maintenance Technician Workbench. One work order shows that a machine is displaying an unfamiliar alarm code. The technician asks the Maintenance Advisor for help. The agent uses the company’s documentation to diagnose the cause of the alarm and recommend a fix to the underlying issue. Armed with this information, the technician returns to the workbench to complete repairs. In a matter of seconds, the Maintenance Advisor sorted through all of the company’s relevant documentation including operator’s instructions, repair manuals, and maintenance history records. So the technician gets just the information needed to fix the problem at hand. It is easy to see how this helps her spend less time searching and accomplish more in her day.
