L'ottimismo come forma di lotta: Lorenzo Jovanotti Cherubini at TEDxFirenze

Si appassiona al rap, lo introduce in Italia, e diventa celebre con i suoi primi hit "Gimme Five" e "E' Qui La Festa?", preludio al debutto discografico "Jovanotti For President" (da questo momento diviene conosciuto come Jovanotti). Il successo arriva con brani storici come "Ciao Mamma", "Gente Della Notte", "Una Tribù Che Balla" e "Ragazzo Fortunato". Con l'album "Lorenzo 1994" arriva il manifesto aggiornato del suo pensiero, connubio di ottimismo e profondità: "Penso Positivo". Mentre "Serenata Rap" diventa la canzone d'amore più programmata dell'anno. Dopo il tour con Pino Daniele ed Eros Ramazzotti fonda Soleluna, etichetta discografica indipendente e casa di produzione multimediale. Da questo momento Jovanotti trasforma la sua passione in un forte impegno sociale, sostenendo cause importanti. Come con il singolo "Salvami", una canzone contro la guerra, e con "Buon Sangue" (2005), l'album dedicato allo scrittore-giornalista da poco scomparso Tiziano Terzani. Nel 2008 arriva "Safari", il disco più venduto in Italia, ma anche il più acquistato degli ultimi cinque anni con oltre 600.000 copie. Nel 2011 esce il nuovo album di inediti, dal titolo "Ora", il manifesto cuore e musica di Jovanotti.
