Open Science and the R-ArcGIS Bridge

Brief demo by Esri spatial statistician Orhun Aydin of the ability to integrate the functionality of R into ArcGIS, especially via the R-ArcGIS Bridge. The demo uses the open API for Global Fishing Watch, Python libraries, live data products and spatial analysis within ArcGIS Pro, connections to feature services, image services, REST APIs on the web, or shapefiles, rasters, mosaics, geodatabases on the desktop, and features the seamless movement of data from one platform to the other.
