OPEN - LGC skates Israel

OPEN is our last movie shot in Israel in 2013 by Spanish director Daniel Etura. It portrays 14 riders from 11 countries skating one of the most conflicted places on Earth and having a lifetime experience. This skate journey was an eye-opener experience through which we challenge our skills, explore new cultures, meet its people and bring some joy to a place living in conflict. We worked together with the Association ‘Longboarding For Peace’ who gathers Muslim, Jew, Arab & Catholic kids to teach them a valuable lesson: skateboarding doesn’t know about gender, religion or politics. The original soundtrack of the movie features artists such as Devendra Banhart, Frank Turner, CSS, Jay Malinowski, Fuel Fandango, Kubinski, Smile, RF Extreme, Chris Zabriskie and Kelle Maize who’s support and commitment to the project have been amazing. Longboard Girls Crew has been working relentlessly since 2010 supporting, promoting and empowering girls, women and non-binary humans through action sports, changing stereotypes and creating communities worldwide.
