The session will examine this foundational component in detail and look at the services that it provides to each individual element of Microsoft Fabric. We'll look at recommended storage formats as well as individual ways to get data from One Lake - or for One Lake to reference data on other storage. Microsoft have talked about this feature as being the "One Drive for Data" and we'll examine the relevance of that statement. One of the most compelling aspects of One Lake is the way it can be directly accessed by Power BI using a new mechanism know as "Direct Lake" and this session will look closely at that.
