On The House - starring Kenneth Connor & Madeline Smith (1970)

John Junkin and Kenneth Connor star in this 'them-against-us' sitcom about life on a building site and the skirmishes between the exasperated site foreman, Charlie Cattermole (John Junkin), and the workforce led by chief labourer Gussie Sissons (Kenneth Connor). This episode - "A Little Bit on the Side" - Mr Cattermole asks the men to work the weekend, they all make their excuses and Mr Cattermole gets upset, he accuses them of doing a bit of moonlighting on the weekend. The men all go to the pub for an after work drink, they see a young lady sat on her own and decide to keep her company. The girl explains she needs her new flat decorating, they all say they're about to help when they see Mr Cattermole in the corner watching them. The next day Gussie goes round to the flat, as does Charlie, Fred, Arnold, Walter and Stanley , they all realise they had the same idea, to worm their way into the girl's affections...
