Off-Grid Living in a Self-Built Homestead

This off grid homestead, Lammas Village, is an idyllic alternative living Eco-Village in the hills of Wales. The UK, being a difficult place to start an off-grid homestead, has challenged the Wimbush family to their limits, but they were able to take on the government and change the laws to allow them to build an amazingly sustainable village in the countryside. While they were initially faced with disapproving locals, over the years the Lammas Eco-Village (Tir y Gafel) has created a community of its own rooted in environmentally friendly practice, permaculture and growth.
