No Code, No Problem: Anton Osika (Lovable) at CVAI London
Anton Osika, co-founder of Lovable, said some 70,000 apps were being built with the vibe-coding app every day, and the company is exploring ways that it might play a bigger role in helping them get distribution.
Stockholm-based Lovable reached $4 million in ARR in just a month after its launch, and is now at $75 million, making it among the fastest-growing startups ever in Europe. That speaks to the thrill many non-coders have found in being able to make their own simple apps and websites; founders who are tweaking their concepts are among the biggest users of Lovable, Osika said.
He acknowledged that more complex, interactive products are still beyond vibe coding’s reach. Still, he said, “I’m confident we’re going to get to a place where 99% of software is created by a human but with an AI.”
The fact that Lovable is free to use has undoubtedly helped spur uptake, though of course the service is anything but free to provide. Osika indicated that the company was able to offer it for free courtesy of OpenAI, though he wouldn’t say whether he thought it would last.
