With its blistering 1/4,000th of a second minimum shutter speed, advanced metering system, and generally good performance, the FA presents cost-conscious film users a viable alternative to the FE2. Much of the way that modern cameras meter scenes originated in the FA. The first matrix-metering camera, the FA delivers consistently well-metered and well-exposed images in complex lighting, with difficult subjects, and in difficult conditions. As one of my friends said of the FA, 'the name means F***ing Awesome."
