Neighbors said there was no sidewalk here until they saw under the giant roll of grass - part 2

Hello everyone! Today we returned to the sidewalk of more than 500 meters covered with grass and trash that has not been cleaned for 5-6 years, in a crowded neighborhood more than 50km from where I live. We continued to clean the sidewalk from a few days ago, it seems that the people here are not conscious when they continue to dump trash on this grassy sidewalk, they throw bricks, stones and broken glass pieces onto the sidewalk like a garbage dump. While we were working, some neighbors across the street talked about us cleaning here, they laughed and said that we had nothing to do so we did this job, some even asked why we didn't choose another easier job but choose to clean the sidewalk. I just laughed and said that I spend 2-3 days a week helping the community. They asked me if I could do the whole street. I answered yes, they laughed and said come to the land next to my house to help you pull the grass. I refused and said that I could only do it on the sidewalk because I didn't have any machines so I couldn't do it in the vacant lot. So she left and went inside. No one here said a word of thanks to us. Maybe they thought we were just cleaners doing manual work in this society, or because they didn't like our presence. Leaving everything to finish the job and then the sidewalk was clean, it started to get dark. When we returned home, the street lights were on, cars were parked all over the street to rest and eat right next to the sidewalk. As usual, we cleared the grass, sorted the inorganic waste into the trash, then dumped the grass and organic waste into the vacant lot to decompose. I didn't throw the grass into the trash because it would be too much and make it difficult for the garbage collectors. We could only contribute a small part to help the community.
