Buckle up, because this one's going to be epic. I repair a verge fusee pocket watch that is also a quarter repeater - meaning, it can chime the number of hours and quarters past the hour. It even has a day indicator! I've done several of these and I can still say that fusee’s are scary as hell to work on. I’ll also try to explain what a repeater is, and how it’s supposed to work. This watch was produced in the early 1800's and, as with any watch of this age, there are major issues I'll need to deal with. It took months to repair this beast of a watch, and while this is the longest video I've ever published, it only offers a glimpse of the work that went into getting it running smoothly again.
