MSO Tutorial

This is a video walk through showing how to use Multi Sub Optimizer to align and EQ multiple subs behind a miniDSP 2x4 HD. Links to MSO, REW, and AustinJerry's REW Guide are below. This tutorial is for a subs-only optimization and does not walk through a subs+mains optimization. I might do a future video on that ... TBD. I'll do my best to answer questions here on YT. If you care about the bass response at more than one listening position in your theater, then MSO is the right tool for the job. ------------------------- What about REW alignment? If you only have, or care about, a single listening position, then manual REW alignment is the right way to go. ------------------------- What about things like Dirac Live Bass Control? In my personal experience, DLBC v3.1+, with the multi-sub license, achieves similar results to MSO without any external hardware or software. This assumes that your AVR/P has enough independent sub channels to support all of your subs of course. If you do not have enough sub channels, then MSO+miniDSP is a great solution to get more subs into DLBC! Follow this tutorial and then present all subs as a single sub to your AVR/P. If using DLBC, this only requires the single-sub license and will save you a bit of money on that front.
