MSFS A320 TYPE RATING - Dual Hydraulic Failure | YOUR CONTROLS FENIX
The AutoPilots continue the A320 Type Rating course for Microsoft Flight Simulator, with today's lesson on the Dual Hydraulic Failure. As for all our lessons, this video will be divided into two parts: The theory, where we will look at the hydraulic systems, checklists and flows. We will then have a practical demonstration which will show the management of the failure, including the management model as discussed in the theory, and an approach & landing with one hydraulic system remaining.
Today's video is slightly different as we are recording it with our real voices, using the YOUR CONTROLS addon on the Fenix A320 for MSFS. There are some glitches that come with this. Faults include:
- Auto thrust - caution pops up despite thrust levers set correctly.
- Auto thrust - N1 is incorrect for the approach, should be a lot lower.
Flight Directors - FDs at some point show a fly right/left but this is not correct.
As the CPT was PF, the indications were correct on their side, but for PM view they we're showing something different.
We are real world airline pilots, who want to share our knowledge and experience with you, so if you have any questions, ask away in the comment section below! We hope you enjoy, and would love it if you could like and subscribe to our channel. It really helps us out and motivates us to make more content.
Happy landings :) - hopefully it'll be better than ours in this video!
