Monkeys of Borneo and Japan: Water, Wisdom, and Adaptation | SLICE WILD | FULL DOC
In the lush forests of Borneo, several unique monkeys embody the spirit of water. The Orangutan, Asia's only great ape, moves gracefully despite its 90 kg weight. The Nasique, with its large, floppy nose, is known for its peculiar feeding habits and was once hunted for its heart as a cure. The Semnopithecus, native to Borneo and Java, performs acrobatic feats to find its preferred food. The Gibbon swings gracefully through trees and is considered a forest spirit. Lastly, in the snowy mountains of Japan, the Japanese macaque survives extreme cold and has learned to warm itself in hot springs, showcasing incredible adaptability.
