Momentary paralleling of transformers or sources are required for manual bus transfer. In industry at distribution level continuous paralleling is not used to avoid high value of fault current. If two or more no of sources are connected in parallel then it increases the fault level. Also if a certain amount of load is delivered through two transformers in parallel then if one transformer is get out of service the load delivery capacity reduces. Hence it is often practiced to consider 100% redundancy of source is considered.
