Modular Walls - Blender to Unreal 5
In this video I show a technique for easily making Modular Wall sets from Curve objects in Blender. Adhering to specific game metric sizes so that they easily snap together to make layouts. Theis method makes continuity of design extremely easy with all elements (such as pipes, cables, skirting) matching up even around corners, which can later be refined with brackets or connectors as required.
Although the video focuses on interior walls the topics covered can be applied to exterior or two-sided walls. Due to the specific measurements floor tile sets can also be made with sunken pipework below floor grates with a consistent style.
Once the base set is made it can easily be used to recreate almost any wall profile design, tips and techniques such as duplicating pieces of the wall set to add doors/windows/grates are also covered.
Finally we test export it into Unreal Engine 5, fix several of the most common error messages on import, and run our character around it in third person.
