Expedition Log: Planet Aelyth-7, Sector XG-421, Adraxis Star Cluster Log Entry 317 We made landfall at dawn, though here, dawn is a relative concept. The sky never truly darkens on Aelyth-7—the upper atmosphere is dense with microscopic crystal particulates, refracting the starlight into an eternal twilight. It’s an eerie, mesmerizing effect, one that makes it difficult to tell time in a conventional sense. I’ve adjusted my chrono to cycle every sixteen standard hours, but even then, fatigue creeps in without the comfort of true night. The terrain is unlike anything I’ve encountered. The flora pulses with its own inner luminescence, a soft, rhythmic glow that suggests an unseen order to this world. Some of the taller plants exude an almost sentient quality, their elongated leaves curling slightly when approached, as if reacting to my presence. There are no obvious signs of animal life, yet I feel observed—whether by the wind, the shifting bioluminescence, or something yet unseen, I can’t say. A few kilometers west of our landing site, we spotted an anomaly: a floating landmass, suspended without any visible means of support. I sent a drone to scan its composition, but the readings came back inconclusive—high concentrations of an unknown element, possibly an anti-gravitational mineral. It drifts lazily, unaffected by the planet’s weak gravity, casting elongated shadows over the valley below. And then, there’s the ringed planet on the horizon. It dominates the skyline, a pale giant looming over Aelyth-7, seemingly closer than it should be. Our sensors confirm it’s millions of kilometers away, yet my instincts whisper otherwise. A trick of perspective, perhaps. Or something more. Despite the world’s beauty, I can’t shake the feeling that we’re intruding. The air is thick with history, with something ancient lingering just beyond the edges of understanding. The ruins of a civilization? A biosphere left untouched by time? Whatever the case, we will proceed with caution.
