Microsoft Access - Modernizing The Interface - Part 2
Demonstrating how we can integrate the power of HTML into an Access database to incorporate contemporary menus to give Access' interface a much needed facelift! In this, Part 2, I demonstrate how we can add security to control which items of the menu are available to different users/groups and also how we can drive the menus from tables so they are dynamically data driven (this also could be a security route). If you haven't seen Part 1, be sure to check it out first: https://youtu.be/Rvy6IPa0Vek I will be working on new blog articles on the subject to provide the necessary code and demos for everything shown in this video. 00:00 - Introduction 01:25 - Applying Security 04:55 - Data Driven Menu *** Sadly, there are certain issues with the Modern Web Browser control making it impossible to use local resources (JS, CSS) in certain cases, and making it impossible to do everything in VBA. Perhaps one day the Access Dev Team will fix their bugs and I will be able to demonstrate that as well.
