Microplastics are accumulating in human brains at an alarming rate
A scientific paper published this week found that almost unbelievable levels of microplastics and nanoplastics are making their way into our brains. Dr. Matthew J Campen is one of the paper's co-authors, and I spoke to him about the findings of his study. Dr. Campen is a toxicology professor at the University of New Mexico. He's also the director of the New Mexico Center for Metals and Biology and Medicine, and has authored over 100 peer reviewed publications, largely in the area of cardiovascular effects of inhaled pollutants.
