Material Dependencies and the Geopolitics of the Green Transition (Prague, 26 March 2024)

The transition away from fossil fuels and the scaling up of green technologies is set to disrupt key global value chains as well as existing power relations. What actors, dynamics and leverage points should we keep an eye on? Opening plenary of a high-level international conference organized by the Association for International Affairs (AMO). Recorded in Vila Lanna, Prague by ELSEYA. 0:00 Intro and Welcome (Tomáš Jungwirth Březovský, Head of AMO Climate Team) 2:40 Keynote (Laurence Tubiana, architect of the Paris Agreement) 24:52 Opening Panel (Eric Buisson, IEA; Daria Ivleva, adelphi; Olivia Lazard, Carnegie Europe; Julia Mildorfova Leventon, Czech Academy of Sciences) 1:22:57 Comments from Laurence Tubiana Material Dependencies and the Geopolitics of the Green Transition Prague, 26 March 2024
