In 1977, the legendary actor, scriptwriter and director, Manoj Kumar, presented the world with a movie titled "Shirdi Ke Sai Baba". The movie became a blockbuster but more importantly, it touched the hearts of millions of people around the world and spread the awareness of Shirdi Sai Baba. Such was the impact of the movie that the Shirdi Sai Sansthan (the organization managing affairs in Shirdi) renamed the main road leading to the temple as Manojkumar Goswami Road and declared Manoj Kumar as the 'Architect of Modern Shirdi'! Silently, behind the scenes, in typical divine manner, was Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba who actually produced and directed the movie! It was at this time that many stalwarts (including Mohd Rafi, Shatrughan Sinha, Hema Malini)and stalwart devotees (including Panduranga Dixit, Anup Jalota) came together to create this movie as an offering of devotion to Swami!
