Manaslu 8163 m - Summit 2024

24. září 2024 jsem se klasicky, s pomocí fixních lan, ale bez kyslíkových bomb, dostal na vrchol Manaslu – osmé nejvyšší hory světa. Ta se tyčí do výšky 8136 metrů nad mořem. Na vrcholu jsem stál přesně v 16:06 místního času. Po pár dnech aklimatizace jsme s mým parťákem Liborem „Jokerem“ Líznerem společně dolezli do výšky 7650 metrů. Odtamtud jsem šel už sám až na samotný vrchol. Ten den jsem tam byl úplně poslední a úplně sám. Na vršku jsem zůstal asi půl hodiny – jen já, ticho a nádhera okolních vrcholů. Celý výstup na vrchol trval deset dnů od příchodu do základního tábora, zatímco celkový čas včetně sestupu si vyžádal dvanáct dnů. Naše zpáteční cesta ze základního tábora začala za nepříznivého počasí, kdy nás provázel vydatný déšť. Ten se následně proměnil v přírodní katastrofu, přinášející sesuvy půdy a rozsáhlé záplavy, jež zasáhly většinu území Nepálu. Ale i tak jsme po tom všem zvládli využít zbytek času a trochu si tuhle krásnou zemi procestovat. Vidět její rozmanitost a poznat místní kulturu byl opravdu zážitek. 24th September 2024, I climbed to the summit of Manaslu, the eighth highest mountain in the world, using fixed ropes but without oxygen bottles. Manaslu rises to an altitude of 8,136 meters above sea level. I stood on the summit precisely at 4:06 PM local time. After a few days of acclimatization, my partner, Libor "Joker" Lízner, and I reached an altitude of 7,650 meters together. From there, I continued alone to the very top. That day, I was the very last person and completely alone on the summit. I stayed there for about half an hour – just me, silence, and the stunning beauty of the surrounding peaks. The entire ascent to the summit took ten days from our arrival at base camp, while the total time, including the descent, took twelve days. Our return from base camp began under adverse weather conditions, accompanied by heavy rain. This rain soon turned into a natural disaster, causing landslides and widespread flooding that affected much of Nepal. Despite everything, we managed to use the rest of our time to explore this beautiful country a bit. Seeing its diversity and getting to know the local culture was truly an unforgettable experience.
