Making a Custom Bearing Puller | Shop Made Tools
In this video we are making a custom bearing puller! Removing a close fit bearing is almost impossible without the right tool. These bearing pullers we designed for our customer to safely and effectively remove the bearing cone from the shaft off a CAT 789 Dump Truck. For making these bearing pullers we are using bis alloy 80 grade high tensile plate. We show the step by step process including trepanning and boring in the lathe, drilling and tapping in the milling machine, cutting in the big bandsaw, welding on the locking bars and then chamfering and grinding to finish. In this video we are using: - TM-26120G Centre Lathe - WIA 500i Weldmatic welder - BM-63VE Milling machine Join our channel: We upload new videos every Friday at 5pm AEST!
