The film became the most beloved and successful Australian movie ever, borne of a friendship that symbolised true Aussie mateship. 40 years ago, CROCODILE DUNDEE swept the global box office, a feat shepherded by producer John Cornell, working alongside his friend, Paul Hogan. LOVE OF AN ICON: THE LEGEND OF CROCODILE DUNDEE recalls the life of the bloke most of us only knew as ‘Strop’, but who was also an extraordinarily gifted storyteller and entrepreneur. The film is also, and perhaps most importantly, a love letter to a late husband by his wife, herself an Australian icon, Ms Delvene Delaney, who has co-directed the film alongside Victoria Baldock, both of whom join SCREEN-SPACE editor Simon Foster from Delvene's Byron Bay home for an in-depth chat about John, Paul, the legend of 'Mick Dundee' and the legacy left by Australia's iconic screen hero.
