I’ll start with a MIDI sequence, seeing how I can change chord progressions by shuttling a Bassline around on a whole-bar basis, before experimenting with the rhythm of that sequence by shifting notes in much smaller note divisions. And then I’ll apply the Rotate Tool to an Audio region to turn a 4-bar melody into an 8-bar one. By Rotating data within a fixed Region length, the Rotate Tool offers some surprising and yet highly musical results.
