Demonstration conducted by: Jack Donoghue, Alec Davis, and Ali Gholinia, Department of Materials, University of Manchester, 30th September 2021.
Organised by: Alec Davis, Jack Donoghue, Ali Gholinia, Christopher Daniel, João Quinta da Fonseca, and Michael Preuss.
In this session, the SEM PC screens were streamed via Zoom while we demonstrated, step by step, how to set up an EBSD map, concentrating on: EBSD geometries, SEM conditions, EBSD pattern optimisation and indexing settings. The tutorial was aimed at new EBSD users, but more advanced users may also find this a good refresher session and learn something new!
