Lighting Angles Explained - 0 to 180 Degrees ... LIVE Q&A
This live session could save you a tonne of time by increasing your basic understanding of how light works. With a little help from Poly (my polystyrene head on a stick) I'll be diving deep into one of the fundamentals of studio lighting: lighting angles. This is all about exploring how moving your light source around your subject (from a straight-on 0 degrees to a full 180 degrees) can totally change the mood, look, and feel of your portraits.
I’ll be experimenting in my small home studio using both hard light and soft light to see if the results are the same or different and if we get time I might even mix the two together. I'll also share my unusual reason for NOT going past 180 degrees... feel free to guess what it is!
Join Sam, Freya, Poly and myself as we answer your questions about lighting angles or just sit back and enjoy the show.
