This is my video record of what it was like on a wave - washed lighthouse. This was filmed in 1994 on video tape. The object was to try and record for posterity the passing way of life of us Lighthouse Keepers. The Hanois Lighthouse is just off Guernsey in the Channel Islands, ....No scripts, we aren't actors and there are 3 Keepers doing 28 days on board followed by 28 days at home, with two alternating crews, so the place was manned 24/7 365 days of the year. I have deliberately not put music to this to try and give you the feel of what it was like, hope you enjoy it.
