Today, I’m sharing some essential tips to help you become a better mogul skier by mastering your edges. If you’ve ever felt like you’re going too fast or losing control on the slopes, these techniques will help you stay in command. The key to control lies in using both edges of your skis—your inside edge (big toe side) and your outside edge (pinky toe side). Many skiers rely too much on their inside edge, but to truly control your speed, you need to engage both edges. I’ll walk you through a simple drill to help you feel this: stand on one leg, lift your downhill ski, turn, and set it down. Repeat this on both sides to build awareness and balance. Once you’ve got the hang of it, we’ll link turns together while keeping weight on your uphill ski. This helps you maintain control and build confidence. For more advanced techniques, join me on Patreon at mogul skiing lessons. Remember, skiing is all about balance and body position. Keep your knees soft, your shins pressing forward, and your spine straight. By practicing these drills, you’ll gain better edge control, improve your speed management, and feel more confident on the slopes. Thanks for watching!
